Literary Junkies #3

Hey darlins! This post is two days late, eeeek. But I have an excuse, my birthday was Tuesday so I didn't put a post together, oops. Annnnd the celebrations continued through, well, right now?...Ha!

Anywho, I'm linking up with Taylor and Lesley for our third Literary Junkies party. If you're into reading you should really check out the party and book club. Go to Taylor's blog for more information! it's super fun, we even have twitter parties!

Pink Heels Pink Truck

1. Which book could you read over and over? Why?
I adore all the Emily Griffin books. My favorite is probably Something Borrowed just because it's the first one and leads to so many other books. I love her style of writing and how everything is fiction but it could also happen in real life. I also love that almost all of her books are intertwined somehow. I don't like books that are fantasy and sci-fi. I actually think they are the most ridiculous things in the world, not to offend anyone who loves them!

2. If you could be any character from any book you've read, who would you be?
I probably can't even answer this question but I'll try ha! I haven't read a whole lot of books just because I often don't get into them. I'm one of those people who if I'm not hooked by the tenth page you might as well forget it. If I had to choose though, I would probably be someone out of a Nicholas Sparks book. I'm a hopeless romantic and I adore all of his books!

3. Do you ever put a book down because you just can't get into it? Or do you stick it out to the bitter end? Any examples?
As I just mentioned, I will put a book down ASAP if it doesn't appeal to me. Especially if I feel like I've read quite a bit and it's just dragging out. The one I have most recently put down was our Bookclub book for this month, The Casual Vacancy. I read the first 95 pages and it was draaaaaagging. I finally gave up and decided to put it down. J.K. Rowling has never appealed to me. I don't like Harry Potter but I figured I would like this book because it was a totally different direction. I'm just not a fan of her work unfortunately.

4. Show us your book shelves! Do you have one designated spot in your house for all your books? Do you scatter them around?
I don't have my own house so I have limited space for books. I keep most of them in my small entertainment center with my DVDs and VHS tapes. All my other "to be read" books are in my closet and I swap them out as I wish. I really like Paperbackswap.com for swapping books because I usually don't hold on to a book that didn't really appeal to me or I don't think I will read again. It allows me to continue reading new books without having the old ones lay around!
I also get some books on my kindle, this semester I actually bought a couple of textbooks on my Kindle so I didn't have to make space for the huge things!

Thanks for stoppin' by y'all! Have an amazing day/weekend. Tomorrow is FRIDAY!

P.S. Tomorrow is the last day to enter my CampusBookRentals giveaway!

His & Her's

I did this link up last Sunday and it was so fun. I know I've done two today (Sunday Social and this one ) but they are so much fun. Plus, the His and Her link up gives me a chance to make Richard sit down and answer questions even though he's busy at school today! Head on over to Tab and Love, the Grows to link up and check out other answers!
His&Her Q&A
What is something weird your spouse does while asleep? *we've only ever spent the night together once so it was somewhat hard to answer this!
His: She steals covers and is all over the place at night!
Hers: He snores really loud.

Which of the 7 deadly sins are you? (anger, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony)
His: Pride
Hers: Sadly, probably envy.

What was your favorite hiding place as a kid?
His: Trees. (Why is he so boring)
Hers: In the back of my parents closet! or I would crawl up the shelf in the bathroom and hide on the top shelf so I my parents couldn't yell at me!

What music artist do you love that your other half hates listening to?
His: Eminem! <--- I definitely hate him!
Hers: George Strait!! Richard hates twangy country!

What has your other half recently done that made you love them more?
His: She calls me all the time.
Hers: He made time for a skype date last week!

What is your favorite hole-in-the-wall place to eat?
His: Hickory Hut BBQ
Hers: Oh Lanta, he would eat there every day if he could. He literally does eat there everyday when he comes home on break. My favorite place is Grandma Max's...we have a special booth there :)

What do you admire most about your significant other?
His: Her caringness for others and her red hair ;)
Hers: He's always so determined to get things accomplished. No matter how mean I am about having him go to school so far away he still continues to go so that he can provide for our family once we reach that point. I really admire his drive and compassion for getting something finished!

Ideally, where would you like to be five years from now?
His: Working in an exercise science program as a trainer at a University somewhere. Oh, and happily married...
Hers: He's such a butt! Definitely married and living happily together, hopefully still in Kansas!

Who wears the pants?
His: I do.
Hers: He thinks he does!

What is your favorite/go-to YouTube video? (embed for all of us to watch.)
His: Wrestling highlights or something at a car show.
Hers: The landlord with Will Ferrell!!

Sunday Social : All About the Internet

Hey y'all! Can anyone believe how fast the weekend went? Seriously, tomorrow is Monday and then it's back to work. Anyways, I'm linking up with Neely and Ashley again today for Sunday Social! Go link up too! I love reading Sunday Social posts!
Sunday Social
1. What is the first website you log on to each day? Swagbucks, which is a website that you can search from and earn "swagbucks" to redeem for prizes such as Amazon gift cards and Paypal cash. Then probably Gmail!

Search & Win

2. Give us some funny websites you visit that we need to know about... I don't usually even go to funny website cause a lot of the times I don't have the time to sit on them for four hours! But when I do I really love these two!
-Damn You Autocorrect
-Some Ecards

3. Pinterest or Facebook? Why? Pinterest most definitely! Facebook anymore is just a drama house and I just have a personal facebook. I don't have a facebook for my blog and I usually don't like other bloggers facebook pages because it just fills up my newsfeed with things I already read on their blogs! I
like Pinterest because it lets me be creative and imaginative :)

4. Twitter or Instagram? Why? I honestly like both. I really like Instagram to keep up with my family long distance but twitter is nice to just read little blurbs about whats going on here and there!

5. Favorite youtube video...post it! Beware it has a few cuss words in it! But whenever I'm having a bad day I ALWAYS watch this and it makes my day so much better! I even have a shirt with this little girl on it that says "Where's the Rent?!"

6. Biggest online pet peeve? I'm sure half the people who link up to Sunday Social today will probably say this but it's definitely talking about people behind their back over the internet. Whether you do it as yourself or whether you make a fake name to do it. Just don't. If y'all really have something to say about someone do it one on one to their face. It just disgusts me what online bullying has come to these days!

Friday Favorites : I have a Skincare Obsession!

Hey pretties! It's finally frickin' Friday. I just told you in my last post that the week was going by so fast, blah, blah, blah. No. I lied. Once Thursday came it slowed waaaaay the heck down. I should keep my mouth shut next time.

So ya wanna hear about my faves, obvi! I'm linking up with Miss Lindsey once again for Friday Favorites...let me forewarn you that I apparently am on a skincare kick this week. Just wait and see!
Okay so I know it's Walmart brand and all but I really don't care. If ya got a problem with Walmart then stop reading. NOW! Kidding. But really, I live in a small place. No Sephora. No Ulta. No little skincare boutiques. We've got Walmart and Target people. So I decided last week that I needed to start using an eye cream. I'm 20 and don't have wrinkles, yet. I figured I'd get a head start. I've noticed a difference actually, the main one being that my concealer doesn't settle as much as it used to!
I've been using the Clean & Clear moisturizer with a purple cap and before that I just used Olay. I liked the Olay but felt that it was way too heavy on my already oily skin. The Clean & Clear was made to fight acne and I felt like it wasn't doing enough to moisturize my face. So I dug through my sample drawer and found something to hold me over until I could find what I liked. I picked the Juice Beauty Oil-Free Moisturizer sample up that I got from a Birchbox and used it for about a week. Immediately I noticed a huge difference in my breakouts and oiliness. Plus, it smells like orange juice! The company uses mostly fruit as the base of all their products, they're all organic, and the do not test on animals! Hollaaaa! Try it out!
Sorry the picture sucks. I wasn't in the mood to make it look nice. Joking...the bottle is just a really weird shape and I wasn't gonna spend all night taking pictures of it to make it look good! Another Walmart product y'all! I believe this is supposed to be the knock-off Garnier under eye roller. Well this thing is bomb.com. I used to have huge black bags under my eyes. In literally a week and a half I can tell a huge difference in the darkness and I'm starting to notice them not being so puffy. It's like $7.00 at Walmart. Go buy someeeee!

I'm sure I'm the last person on the planet to use this. I know it's been around since probably before I was born. Two decades ago. I probably love this SO MUCH because of the smell. It's like coconut yumminess. But it also moisturizes my hair so well. When I don't use this my curls are so much less defined and way more dry. They look real pretty when I spend the extra three minutes in the shower! It may have some competition though, I just picked up the Organix Coconut Milk Conditioner so we'll see!
Go stalk the air freshener isle for this right now. I have it everywhere in my house and all over my office. I've gone through a four pack of the scented oil candle refills in less than two weeks. Please at least go smell it. It's a perfect transition scent from Summer to Fall without being like BAM! PUMPKIN! All the customers that have come in since I put it out yesterday say it smells amazing :)
Aunie Sauce
My fave blogger of the week is Miss Aunie. I stumbled across her blog a couple of days ago and fell immediately in love. She is so inspiring and doesn't hold a damn thing back about her life. Besides that, she is absolutely GORGEOUS! Her blog is so pretty and she's always rockin' a super stylish outfit. Click her button above and go pay her a little visit!

Head on over to link up your Friday Faves! Plus, check out where miss Lindsey is moving to and what her new dream job is!
That's all I've got for ya today people of the blogosphere! Is anyone else as excited as I am that in one week it'll be Labor Day weekend. Meaning I get a three day weekend! HOLLAAA! Have a super happy Friday :)

His & Her featuring Ricky Ricardo, the Beau!

His&Her Q&A

I came across this link up over at Love, the Grows and thought it would be something fun to do with Richard because he is so far away and I haven't seen him in three weeks. I know that really isn't long but we don't get much time to talk between school and me working full time and him being on the training staff at college. It's rough but I know deep down we can do it. His answers are so silly. I don't think he takes much of anything seriously when I talk about blogging! Enjoy!

Your house is on fire. What five items do you grab before you leave?
R: Car Keys,  Money,  Dogs,  Running Shoes, and my Grandpa's Belt Buckle
A: Idgit, a picture of my sister, Lauren, my computer, money, and my phone.

If you could be/had to be the main character of any movie, who would you be?
R: Stifler from American Pie
A: Any female character who gets to 'fall in love' co-act with Channing Tatum!

What physical feature do you love most about yourself?
R: My abs.
A: My crazy red hair

Tell us why your name is your name. And if you don't have (or know) an answer, make one up.
R: Richard is my dad's best friend's name from the Navy.
A: I don't have a cool story about my name. My parents just liked how Aimee was spelled so that's what they gave me!

What is the greatest place you've ever traveled to?
R: Virginia
A: Paris, France.

Are you a morning person or a night person?
R: It depends on what I'm doing.
A: NOT a morning person, night persona ALL THE WAY!

Who is someone you wish you were closer to?
R: My Grandpa
A: My momma.

What quality do you have that you hope your kids inherit?
R: Athleticism (Shallow much Ricky Ricardo?!)
A: My work ethic.

What's your favorite memory with your childhood best friend?
R: Playing football in the cul de sak with all my friends back in Virginia
A: My friend Autumn and I used to dance together and on our way to dance class we'd sit in the back seat of her mom's car or my mom's van and talk about old grannies in pajamas. I have no idea why that was so funny but every week we would sit back there cracking up over it!

If you had to move out of the country where would you move to?
R: Ireland

A: Ireland or France! --->

Blog Angels Update

Photobucket
Hey lovelies, today is a post that I'm really excited about. I have been participating in a little fun called Blog Angels. The whole point of Blog Angels is to help out other bloggers gain followers, move their blog along, visually update their blog, and so much more. When I heard about this 'program' (for lack of a better word,) I thought the idea was amazing. What blogger doesn't want to feel like someone is actually reading their blog. Especially new bloggers, like myself! So today I get to share a little bit about my experience with you...but since we're only half way through the month I can't reveal myself!

The blogger who I'm an Angel to is a fairly new blogger and the minute I read her blog for the first time I noticed she is very Christian. I think that is awesome because each time I read a post of her's I get new inspiration and a new verse to go think about and read. She shares lots of details about her life on her blog which I think is so cool because I feel like I know her now in a friendly way. I'm not sure if she feels like I'm making a difference or not but I feel like I am. I try to comment on most of her posts and I think I've sent a few followers to her sweet little blog! I know how much a simple comment can make someone's day!

I think this experience has been so much fun. I don't feel like I have to put in extra work or feel like I don't want to visit her blog. It's a very pleasant experience and I feel like she is uplifting me in a way too! I think what I have learned most about the situation is that if you really like a blogger you should reach out to. If it is a big blogger you could try to reach them on a smaller level or if it is a smaller blogger try to comment and uplift her. After being a part f the Blog Angels I know I will let a blogger know if I like their blog. I'll guest post for them or ask them to post on my blog. I will try to build a relationship with that blogger, because I look up to them!

When the link comes live to link up for October's Blog Angel program I'll be sure to share it with all of you! It is honestly such an amazing and uplifting experience here in blogland!

Blog Star: Facts About Me

Hey y'all! My last post was quite a heavy one. I shared my testimony with you guys which was quite a big deal because I have never shared anything like that on the internet with people I don't know! But I'm so glad I did and even if I touched one person's life that is absolutely fabulous!

So today I thought I would share some things about me that are on a little bit lighter note. I'm linking up at Mrs. Monologues for the Blog Star link up! So I'm just going to share a few things about me that I think are vital in getting to know my personality!

1. I'm obviously a ginger. I will show you pictures from when I was little and it has stuck with me all my life! That's my Bunny in that picture. I adore that bunny, he went with me everywhere and always had a diaper on. No naked bunnies over here! I have the temper and attitude of a ginger too. Don't cross me, I promise I will not be nice. I really don't try to be mean but I just don't take other people's crap. Treat others with the respect you wish to be treated with.
2. I just bought the Canon T3i! Best choice of my freakin' life! For serious! Please excuse my awful hair and smeared makeup. I would appreciate your support considering I don't have to look especially pretty for anyone. I do what I do.
3. If society would allow it I would wear sweats constantly. You don't understand. I. Love. Sweatpants. I hate jeans, I just want to feel comfortable. I almost wore sweatpants to Richard's senior prom. That is no lie. But I decided I would look like a glowstick instead. Yes, he is wearing a lime green suit. And yes, it is his forever, God help us all.
4. I obviously love Idgit. You have probably already guessed by now but if you haven't, he is the only thing I have to take pictures of with my new camera. I hope you like cute grey kitties!!!
Well sorry y'all had to endure some awful shots of me. I have to admit though I was quite presh as a child! I hope you guys linked up too..I'd love to know more about you, star!

Sisters in Christ: How I Came to Know Jesus Christ as My Savior

Today as I was checkin' out what all you lovely bloggers have posted this weekend I came across a very inspiring post at Rustic Love. She created a blog hop for Sisters in Christ, to share our testimonials, favorite scripture, inspiring stories, or just to enjoy the fellowship of each other from all over the world. I think it is truly amazing for her to have a blog post about something so touchy, yet she sees the good in the situation and hopes that we can all connect and pray for each other and encourage each other through the blog world.
So today she asked what our testimonials are and when we became believers.

Weeeeell, I hope you have some coffee, a glass of wine, or my personal recommendation some sweet tea cause you're in for a long post.

I can remember when I was young going to church with my mama every so often. I never remember us having a set church or a real church family. We never went to church on Christmas, but usually went on Easter. Our family never had big dinners after church on Sunday. We never read the Bible together. I never knew what exactly God's love was. I had absolutely no idea what prayer was and why we used it.

When I got to high school I started partying, the usual. Then my junior year something terrible happened, to this day only a select few of my very closest friends know what happened. So I drank. Drank to forget, drank to have fun, drank to get through the day. I was 17 and drunk at school. My senior year came and I of course was still drinking. My best friend had moved in with me and found me at home in my bed after work, drinking tequila. This was a frequent happening. I would take alcohol to school in water bottles and drink during class. My parents never knew. I never got caught. Richard and I had just started talking and he was NOT havin' that habit. I remember we weren't even dating and he would yell at me to stop, tell me not to drive home. He wasn't being mean, even though I thought he was, he was just protecting me from myself. Then one day just after Christmas break had started a kid on the newspaper staff messaged me on facebook. I was the editor-in-chief of the yearbook my senior year so we had worked together a lot. He asked my why I was always drinking. He asked why I was in fact drinking that night. He asked how long of life I wanted to live. He asked where I thought I was going when I died. And then he told me something that shocked me, he said, "You drink so much you don't know if tomorrow will be here or not. You could kill someone driving. You could get alcohol poisoning. If you die, do you want to go to hell?" Shoot, I didn't even believe in heaven and hell then. I thought that was a joke and that everyone went to heaven. I was almost 18 years old and I didn't realize heaven and hell were real!

We continued this conversation well into the morning, probably until four or so. He told me at the end of the conversation that I should ask forgiveness for all my sins. I told him that would be impossible. How was I supposed to remember everything I supposedly did bad and ask God to forgive me? God didn't even want to forgive me. I was a drinking, slutty, 18-year-old, who didn't really care where life took me. Now why on earth would He want me to go to heaven when I died? Was this kid joking? I ended up telling him that I wasn't asking forgiveness, I wasn't wasting God's time when he should save room for people who really matter. Yeah, I was obviously not in a good place that year. Then he said, "Okay," and gave me a prayer to pray if I felt the need to change my mind. Yeah right, that wasn't going to happen in a million years. I was going to hell.

Sure enough, I stayed sober the next couple days and really thought about what he said. Maybe there was enough room up there for one more sinner. Maybe I still had a shot. A couple days before Christmas I decided to tell him that I was ready. I wanted to ask for forgiveness.
So, I messaged my friend and told him I was ready. He told me the things I needed to say, guided me through the life changing prayer and I was re-born. I cannot explain exactly how I felt after I prayed. All I can tell you is that my life felt much less heavy. I didn't feel like I was a failure. I didn't feel so weighed down with emotions and pain. I felt new. Then he told me I needed to try out some churches and recommended the church that he (and many other friends I went to school with) went to. I freaked out. Oh no, I can't go to church. Everyone is going to think I'm worthless and dirty. Then I'm just going to end up back at square one. Here we go I thought, I'm just a sinner again, waiting to go to hell. The pastor from his church came to my house on Christmas Eve, introduced himself to my family, and gave me a Bible he wrote some advice in. It was the prettiest Bible I've ever seen. I thought all Bibles had to be brown and boring, but this one was so pretty and new.

At the time I was working at the hospital in the food service department delivering food to sick patients and new moms. A girl I worked with was the step-daughter of a pastor and had been a believer all her life. Her life was based around Christ. I told her what I had done and that I couldn't go to church. I was terrified to be judged. More terrified than dying and going to hell. She convinced me after a very long talk that I should come to church with her the first Sunday after the new year. I told her I had nothing to wear but short dresses. So we took a trip to the mall so I'd feel more comfortable in a longer dress. I headed off to church that Sunday and then we had lunch at our favorite restaurant after. It wasn't so bad, there were a lot of older people instead of so many young kids. The next week I decided I would go to the other church.

So, that next Sunday I got up, got dressed, and headed to church. Let me tell you this church is GIGANTIC. Not an understatement. I was terrified. I had no idea where to go. Finally, the pastor asked me if I was coming to the youth room and told him yes. I found a seat and settled in. That day I felt like the message (it was about New Year's Revolutions instead of New Year's Resolutions,) really spoke to me. However, after church got out the drinking didn't stop. I still had the urge to drink.

For the next few months I continued going to church most Sundays. Then our pastor mentioned the bi-annual baptisms were coming up. Oh lanta, when was all this church stuff gonna stop. How much do I have to do here? Of course, they talked me into it. I went to a little meeting about what baptism means, blah blah blah. The morning of my baptism I was just different. I felt different. We had to write our testimony out for the assistant pastor to read before we got baptized and I remember all my family being there. Most of my friends came too. The pastor asked a couple questions and then dipped me underwater. I have never felt so clean and new in my life.

The guy that helped me see Jesus actually had his parents video tape us being baptized one after the other and they gave me a copy. I cry every time I watch it. Now, I go to church with Richard's grandma on Sundays and I would never change everything I went through since it led me here. I look back and see that my life is no where near perfect today but at least I don't have to be scared of where I'm going on judgement day. I love being in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
If you've made it through I really want to thank you for reading that whole testimony. I hope we can become siblings in Christ! If there is anything you need prayer for feel free to leave a comment or email me, I would absolutely love to have you as part of this amazing family!

What is your testimony?

Sunday Social : Fall Favorites!

Is it seriously August 5 already? School starts in two weeks, gag me! But for the time being, it's about time for another Sunday Social with Neely and Ashley! I think this is probably my favorite link up for the simple fact that it is always different! Plus I feel like I learn a lot about the other bloggers who are participating just by their answers!
Sunday Social
1. What is your favorite fall activity?
I would have to say my fave activity for fall is decorating the house! I think it is so fun to get pumpkins and decorate them and to have cute leaves everywhere! Plus I really love the colors of fall.
2. Do you follow a football team? If so which one and why?
Duh! I love football, (it's probably my second favorite activity of fall.) I of course follow my high school football's team from the school I graduated, probably because Richard played varsity there and I went to all his games so it just stuck. And then I watch NFL like it's outta control. My family is football obsessed. My dad and older brother have season tickets to the Kansas City Chiefs so they are always either at a game or watching one. I personally follow the Miami Dolphins! I don't know why I love that team so much but since I was little I have always loved them and it just stuck!
3. What is something fun about fall in your area?
I love the spirit people get into about football here. It is like a way of life around here and if your kid is in football people just get so wrapped up in it. It's a tradition for the senior girls at my school to paint their stomachs for our cross-town rivalry game. The other team's senior boys wear kilts and paint themselves too. Before all the football games they always have a huge cookout with tailgating and after the games the drumline plays outside the stadium for the fans. It's just a really fun experience.
4. What are your favorite fall outfit staples?
1. Oversized sweaters. image via
2. Colored tights. image via
3. The color mustard. dress shoes
4. Slouchy boots. image via
5. Scarves. image via
5. What are you looking forward to most about the upcoming fall season?
I'm most certainly ready for the weather to cool down. A 70 degree day sounds absolutely amazing. I detest winter and love heat but Kansas is in such a drought right now and we really need a break. I'm also looking forward to the leaves changing color, it's one of my absolute favorite things about fall.
6. What is your favorite fall holiday? Do you have any traditions?
I would have to say Thanksgiving. My family usually tries to go out to eat on Thanksgiving (obviously that is like really ludicrous, so I talk them into making dinner.) Most of the time I will cook the full meal for dinner and we just hangout. If my family isn't doing anything I will go over to Richard's for their Thanksgiving. The only tradition we have is putting up the Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving!
What are your favorite parts about fall?

Sunday Social

Hey Hey Hey! Gosh, three posts in one weekend. I'm gettin' on it! Welp, I'm here to do my first Sunday Social. I meant to link up last week and I just didn't have time to get a post up. Neely from A Complete Waste of Makeup is awesome. I mean she is hilarious, honest, and always brightens my day when I see a new post from her. I just love her. Enough gushing...on to the questions, Aimee.
Sunday Social
1. What is your dream job? Well, allow me to let you know that I have not a freakin' clue! If the economy didn't royally suck I would say be a wedding shop owner. Buuut, lately I've been wanting to just be a stay at home mommy when I have kids. I have been in college for three years now and I've changed my major five times. Nothing fits. I honestly think I'm meant to not go to college because I really feel like I'm wasting my time.
2. If you had just won the lottery and didn't need to work for money, what would you do with your time? I would blog full time, volunteer, probably still work where I work now because I do love it (it's a dry cleaners), and then I would most definitely help Richard get a car restoration business going since that's what he loves to do.

3. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Everything. Let's get a little list goin', shall we? A lawyer (thanks to Elle Woods and Legally Blonde), a graphic designer, a wedding dress boutique owner, a pastry chef, a counselor, a youth pastor, a special education teacher, and a no-kill animal shelter organization lady. That about sums it up. Clearly I have no direction in life.

4. What piece of career advice would you give someone just starting out in your field? Well, I work for a dry cleaner. I work up front with customers checking in clothes, working the register, etc. so I would tell them first you need to be able to deal with problems that the customers have. Be thorough, be patient, and let them know you really care about what's going on. Orrrr you're going to have a hell of a time.

5. Biggest pet peeves in life, blogging, or work. Let's just list 'em all shall we? In life: rude people, not using your turn signal, drama, living in America and refusing to learn to speak English. In blogging: I really don't have a whole lot other than people commenting and saying "Come check out my giveaway, I'll follow you if you follow me, New follower come follow me!" I'll come follow you if you interest me. Don't shove it down my throat. At work: Probably the biggest is rude customers and after that it all deals with my co-workers...not doing their job, slacking, leaving it for me to do, and last not being able to do anything by themselves! LANTAAAA.
Don't judge me.
6. Biggest Fears? BUGS, any kind of bugs. Losing someone I love, my beloved kitty running away, and thunderstorms :(

Well, I feel like that Sunday Social might have been more of a rant than intended but that's okay. Head on over and link up your little bloggies, ladies!

20 in 20 | What I Plan on Accomplishing Before I Turn 21

Well y'all I was creepin late Saturday night and came across this pretty awesome link-up. Yeah yeah I know I've done like 500 lately, linky whore. But it is kinda different, it is 20 things I'd like to accomplish before I turn 21. I've got five months so I better get hoppin'.
1. Pass all my classes this semester.
2. Get out of debt. (excluding student loans).
3. Move up to a management position.
4. Grow my blog. If I had to put a number on followers let's say have 200 followers. Whaaat a stretch!
5. Write a guest post.
6. Buy the Canon t3i.
7. Read five new books.
8. Be healthier.
9. Start a workout routine.
10. Have my Christmas shopping done before December!
11. Donate a car load of my things that are highly not needed to Goodwill.
12. Have an angel on the Salvation Army Angel Tree.
13. Start a savings account.
14. Start reading the Bible all the way through.
15. Visit my best friend & Goddaughter in Tulsa.
16. Clean the whole house from ceiling to floor.
17. Learn not to be so selfish.
18. Master College Algebra
19. Get & stay organized.
20. Plan a successful 21 birthday!

Some of these things were on my 30 before 30 list but I feel like if I don't make some of these things goals they are never going to get done. I know a major thing is to focus on school this semester like I haven't for the last two years. Head on over and link up to Erin at Living in Yellow with your list. I'd love to know your goals for the next year :)

Me, Myself, & I

Hey Y'all! Over at Whispering Sweet Nothings I ran across this great link partaaay that is a neat way to let other bloggers get to know you. It's the Me, Myself, & I link. You write a post with previously posted prompts and link up. Some of the other bloggers' posts are really quite interesting. What a great way to meet new friends :) Anywho, here are the prompts...

1: What is your biggest phobia?
Well, first spiders. Oh my lanta, I HATE spiders. Then probably water, I'm not a huge fan of large bodies of water. Lastly, I have a serious "phobia" of some words. It's really more like I can't stand the words and they gross me out. Examples include: chunky, moist, diarrhea, and the most disliked...belly. UGH I cannot stand that word!

2: If you could relive any day of your life, what would it be & why?
I would have to say it would probably be the day I met my Goddaughter Rella. My best friend Kelly got pregnant at 19 and although she had moved a state away we remained close friends, I threw her a baby shower, and she asked me to be Rella's Goddaughter. I love that little girl to pieces. I pray that she grows up to be a smart, beautiful, successful, independent young lady just like her mama.

This isn't the day I met her but it is a day they drove back home to surprise me!
3. If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what would it be and why?
I would have to say 17. I'm only 20 so this doesn't give me a lot of options. But 17 was the perfect year for me. I was still a child but I had enough adult privileges that I felt independent. Life was simple, I had it all figured out. I was the editor-in-chief of my high school yearbook, I still danced, Richard and I were at a perfect, never fighting stage of our relationship, I had barely any bills, I had just found Christ and was glowing with questions, emotions, and love for Him, and I had a world of opportunities sitting in front of me. I know that right now in my life I'm still trying to figure it out and that one day everything will make sense, but until that day comes my faith is for sure getting tested! Some days it just seems so hard to stay positive and turn to Him for the answers.
My fabulous yearbook staff. I love you all.
4. Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
I'm a redhead so I usually don't get mistaken for any celebs. One the two occasions I have been mistaken one person thought I looked like Drew Barrymore and one other occasion another person though I was comparable to Kate Winslet. I see no resemblance to either.

5. What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?
Honestly I'm into music but I'm not THAT into music to where I have a "soundtrack" of my life. I just have songs that kind of remind me of myself or that I like a lot. I can give you that much....
(Warning: I'm a country music kind of girl!)
-If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away - Justin Moore
-Lookin' Back With You - Craig Morgan
-You're Gonna Miss This - Trace Adkins
-Laughed Until We Cried - Jason Aldean
-Fly Over States - Jason Aldean
