Sunday Social : Food

Hey y'all! Well it's one in the morning so I figured I would link up with Neely this week for Sunday Social. I just got done watching a movie on Lifetime, I'm not too sure what it was called but I don't think I'll ever sleep again. It was about a little girl that was taken from her mother when she was three by a woman who's daughter drowned when she was little. That woman buried her daughter in an unmarked grave and stole the little girl. It was crazy, as are most Lifetime movies. Lanta!

This week's Sunday Social is all about FOOD! Who doesn't love blogs about food? Exactly, no one on the planet!

1. If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be? Honestly, I'm really not 100% sure. I don't think it's humanly possible for me to eat one thing forever. I get random cravings all. the. time. So I would say it would have to be a collection of cheesecake, pasta, grilled chicken, fruits, and vegetables!

2. What's your guilty pleasure or comfort food? I would have to say anything greasy or anything sweet. Sometimes I really crave a cheeseburger from Bogey's. I'm so sorry you guys don't know what Bogey's is since it is just a place here in my town...but they have AMAZING food. Sweet Potato Fries, y'all. It doesn't get much better than that. If I'm in a really crap mood I'll usually go for ice cream or chocolate to make me feel better. It all depends on my mood.

3. What's the weirdest/craziest thing you've ever eaten? I'm also not much of a person for "weird" food. I will tell you that my food absolutely cannot touch when it's on my plate. Holy disgusting. I also hate, hate, hate ketchup and mayonnaise. So I guess most people think it's "weird" that I eat most things plain, without condiments.

4. What foods do you avoid at all costs? Mayonnaise, Ketchup, BBQ, Fruit in syrup, and cottage cheese. NASTY.

5. What meal reminds you of your childhood? Shepherd's pie. Salmon patties. Bologna Boats. Yum, Yum, Yum.
6. Share one of your favorite recipes and the story behind it. Well I would say my apple pie but that is a recipe only I know...so I can't share that with you :( Sorry dolls. But I will tell you about kolaches. Kolaches are a Czechoslovakian/Bohemian pastry my family makes in honor of our heritage. They are kind of like a jelly roll only better. It's a dough with whatever kind of filling you want in the middle and then a topping that is kind of like powdered sugar. My personal favorite are poppyseed. I don't have our family recipe to these but I'll link one similar here.

  1. Sweet Potato Fries - Yummy! And I cant stand it when my food touches on my plate! I would be perfectly happy to eat all my meals from those cafeteria lunch trays with the little compartments. :)

    1. Oh girl, me too! I make my parents have divider plates for Christmas and Thanksgiving because it makes me want to vomit when other people just throw every dish on top of each other. Gross.

  2. Following from the I love my online friends hop. I don't mind my food touching, but I eat one thing at a time. I don't like to mix it all up. And I'm a little weird as I always save my favorite thing for last, because I would rather that taste linger than anything else. Maybe I have a touch of OCD. :)
